Thought I’d give carp a try!

With my recent success in catching trout, my confidence has soared! For this outing, I brought along just two sets of flies and two pieces of leader line. I cast those flies using a 3-gram suspending bobber. These are no ordinary flies; they were handcrafted and sent to me by my friend, Danny Liu —a true fishing enthusiast who knows everything about nymphing and is genuinely a trout guru on this forum. Thank you, Danny! These flies truly made my day, and I'm sure I'll continue using them to catch even more this season!

Recently caught my pb northern! Was so cool to witness the follow and eat. It always seems to change, but at this point esox fish have probably been my favourite to pursue, and I find them super exciting and fun to catch. Handled with care, kept wet in the net while unhooking, couple quick pics and swam off strong on release. Shoutout to my good friend Parth for the net job and for capturing the moment for me!

Skinny guy, but the eat was so epic to witness. Hit the lure like 5 feet in front of me and the whole head came out the water. PB pike post coming up next!
